Decorative Pumpkins

The pumpkins are here! Our bounty was smaller than we hoped but we are eager to share these gorgeous pumpkins with you. You can expect to find our pumpkins, dried bunches of broom corn, glass corn & corn stalks available at our Farm Stand.

Autumn has begun and farm tasks are quickly changing. Weeding & harvesting becomes cutting back & clearing. Even though the days are getting shorter, tasks such as bulb planting will be keeping us busy. Seasonal changes bring excitement to the flower program, as we reflect on this year's growth & make subtle changes to next year's growing plans.

We are celebrating this month as we have completed 21 weeks of flower CSA’s! From Tulips to Dahlias, we are blown away from the love & support from our members. Be on the lookout as we will be announcing 2024’s Flower CSA’s!! Just in time to treat that special someone to a blooming gift for the holidays ;)

CSA’s may be over but don’t worry! There will still be Lisianthus, Dahlias & mixed bouquets available at our farm stand Fridays

Maitri Mushroom Cultivation

This fall we are beginning a new endeavor of growing a variety of edible, delicious, beautiful mushrooms.  This process takes several months to complete and we are excited to begin this journey with the help of our local fungi experts, special shoutout to our pal Gerry who has been an amazing resource. You can follow Gerry on Instagram at his handle @CTWildHarvest, he is very knowledgeable has shown us so much care as we embark on the mushroom journey. We are excited to learn about spores, inoculation, best practices, and seasonal fruiting. We are hoping that once we have properly begun this process that we will be able to provide fresh mushrooms in some CSA shares and at the farm stand. Just like any crop, there is possibility for failure and there will most certainly be a learning curve but we are optimistic and curious about this new process. Stay tuned as this new crop develops!
